Medical Affairs Manager - Dermatology

Company:
A leading pharmaceutical organisation with a truly global reach, looking to add to their European dermatology medical affairs unit.

Location:
Thames Valley, UK (up to 50% travel across Europe required for this role)

Role:
Reporting to the European Therapy Area Director, you will provide medical and scientific expertise to relevant internal divisions and external partners. The role is UK based but has a responsibility for supporting colleagues in affiliated European offices. Your core duties will be:

- Formulation and implementation of medical strategies related to specific portfolio drugs
- Review and certification of all promotional materials created by European commercial departments related to Dermatological products.
- To work closely with PV, Medical Information, Regulatory and Clinical Operations teams for pre-launch strategy
- Delivery of medical education and training where necessary in accordance with agreed medical plans
- Attendance of European congresses and conferences to interact with key European medical networks
- Lead medical input to business developments plans
- Lead medical input to regional scientific communications

Candidate Profile:
- GMC registered physician
- Medically qualified with substantial post-qualification clinical experience
- Significant experience of working in Dermatology in a clinical setting
- Prior pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred, ideally in medical affairs
- Good balance of clinical knowledge and a commercial mind-set
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Confident presentation style
- Cultural sensitivity and awareness to work across multiple countries
