MEDICAL DIRECTOR JOB - SCOTLAND, UK

A medical director position with significant commercial responsibility at a pharmaceutical business with a presence across Europe and the in the US. This role does have line management and is based around the following responsibilities;

- Supporting and working with marketing teams to provide medical advice in the development of new marketing campaigns.
- Provision of product training to UK commercial colleagues
- Provision of medical support to the global drug safety team, including acting as part of the safety review team.
- Act as final medical signatory
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and codes of practice e.g. MHRA Code of Practice
- Development of relationships with Key Opinion Leaders
- Input into submissions for bodies such as NICE/AWMSB/SMC
- Input into expert advisory panel meetings
- Input into internal departments such as Clinical Research, Finance, Regulatory, Drug Safety, Business Developments where required.

CANDIDATE: REQUIREMENTS

- Medically qualified with post-qualification experience in clinical medicine
- GMC registered
- UK medical affairs experience in pharmaceutical medicine
- Commercial acumen and mentality
- ABPI Code of Practice trained and certified
- Experience working with KOLs on a regular basis
- Excellent communication skills
- Focus and determination in the work-place
