Clinical Research Physician Job - Oncology, UK

My client, a leading pharmaceutical organisation with an international presence are looking to recruit a pharmaceutical physician with a background in Oncology at either Associate Director or Director level.

Role Detail:

Working in a Uk-based role, but as part of a global team, you will be responsible for the management and development of PI - III clinical studies in Oncology. You will work in a matrix-management style environment and collaborate with various internal teams such as Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs and Pharmacovigilance. Your main duties will be as follows:

- Medical & scientific input into clinical development strategy and implementation, for Phase I - III studies
- Management and directorship of projects within the therapy area
- Compilation of clinical development protocols, regulatory documents and clinical study reports
- Review of study and safety data in collaboration with relevant internal teams
- Responsible for communication of clinical strategy outline and risk assessment to appropriate colleagues
- Input into safety monitoring and ensuring studies reach all regulatory requirements
- As guided by managers, work on KOL development, advisory board support and also publication planning

Candidates Profile:

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in clinical development of Phase I - III trials. A background in Oncology and/or Haematology is also hugely desirable. The primary candidate criteria are as follows:

- Medically qualified
- GMC registered
- Clinical experience in the NHS or a similar setting
- Pharmaceutical industry experience in Clinical Research, with PI-III trial design and management experience
- Oncology or Haematology experience, in clinical or pharmaceutical medicine or both
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Good presentation skills
- Comfortable working in a matrix-managed team environment

Remuneration:

The successful candidate would receive a competitive basic annual salary + bonus + car allowance + private healthcare + pension and more. This is a permanent, office-based role with some international travel when required.
