Director, Clinical Development - Switzerland or UK

Our client is a top 40 pharmaceutical company that is seeking an experienced physician to operate as an internal medical / scientific expert for the GI and CNS therapeutic areas.

Key Responsibilities:
- Late stage medical and clinical strategy for relevant products
- Provide medical advice to cross-functional teams consisting of members from pharmacovigilance, marketing, regulatory and health economics etc
- Act as senior company representative interacting with external scientific leaders and/or regulatory bodies
- Serve as an essential medical team member for the development and lifecycle management of compounds in regional and global project teams
- Participates in review and approval of promotional material / activities

Sought after skills / experience:
-Medical Doctor with significant experience of late stage R&D in a Big Pharma environment
-Significant experience of Phase III and IV clinical study design
-Exposure to GI (Gastroenterology) or CNS would be beneficial
-Broad understanding of the drug development process, ICH/GCP guidelines and international regulations
-Fluent English is essential. Another European language beneficial
