An excellent opportunity to join a growing speciality pharmaceutical business in a Medical Director role offering a high level of growth and autonomy.
The role will be responsible for the UK, with future scope for a European remit.

A highly innovative and specialised global pharmaceutical business, focusing within Oncology and Haematology products, are looking to appoint a Medical Director to assume responsibility for the UK. The role will focus on the development and implementation of medical strategy across the region, and will encompass a high level of commercially whilst maintaining medical input. This role would be suited to either a medical affairs physician looking for their first Medical Director opportunity or an experience Medical Director looking to join a new and progressive company.

Position overview:
- Reports into the Regional General Manager
- Provides key medical support for seven marketed products within the region
- KOL interaction leadership
- Line management responsibility for two Medical Science Liaisons
- Ensure affiliate teams fully aligned with scientific data to positively impact on product potential
- Ensure high standards of Pharmacovigilance, compliance and company SOPs

Candidate profile:
- Fully GMC registered medic
- Experience of working within a Medical Affairs environment in the pharmaceutical industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Team management experience preferred
- Ideally suited to a pharmaceutical physician looking for their first medical director position

Remuneration:
An excellent base salary plus a comprehensive package including car allowance, bonus and pension contribution are included.
