This is a great opportunity for an experienced medical affairs physician to take responsibility for a medical department - Buckinghamshire
£85,000 + Benefits

We are working with a global pharmaceutical business based in Buckinghamshire.They are looking for a Medical Director to manage the medical functions in the UK. Working across a number of therapeutic areas including Oncology, Pain and Cardiovascular Disease this position will be responsible for all areas of medical affairs, pharmacovigilance and medical information. This position would be ideal for an experience medical affairs physician looking to take on more responsibility.

Role overview:
You will be responsible for medical affairs, medical information, local pharmacovigilance, UK led studies, KOL development and all scientific issues across all therapy areas. This role has three direct line reports.

Role duties:
- Providing an expert opinion for medical, scientific and regulatory enquiries to support both internal and external customers.
- Build and develop sustainable relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
- Manage a team of 3-6 staff
- Medical Signatory for the business
- Working closely with clinical development teams to optimise the marketing platform for new products in the UK.
- Manage the medical budget.

Candidate specifics:
- Medically qualified and GMC registered
- Substantial experience in a post qualification clinical role
- Prior experience in a medical affairs role in industry is essential
- ABPI Final Signatory Status is preferred
- Excellent networking and team working skills
- Strong presentation skills
- High level of communication skills

Salary and package:
A basic annual salary of around £90,000 and benefits package is on offer and will depend on previous experience. Benefits will include car/allowance, pension, bonus, life assurance, private health cover and more.
