Medical Monitor - Part-time, Permanent
The is a rare opportunity for a physician with experience in clinical research to join a growing pharmaceutical business in a part time position.
Salary bracket is circa £35,000 - £43,000 pro rata

The business
Based in Newbury our client is working with the companies UK Prescription Only Medicines (POM) across a wide selection, with key franchises in CNS and Women's Health. The ideal candidate will be a physician presently working in clinical trials.

Role
- To participate in all stages of the clinical trial development process including protocol design, investigational site selection, the generation of clinical study reports, and feasibility assessments
- Act as Medical Monitor for assigned trials
- Provision of medical support to clinical project teams
- Review of Serious Adverse Event narratives and writing responsibility of associate critical events
- Writing of assigned sections of clinical study reports
- Provision of therapeutic area training to the clinical project teams and investigator teams
- Maintains knowledge of relevant regulations and guidelines
- Initiates and maintains interactions with Key Opinion Leaders and investigators

Candidate
- Medically qualified
- GMC registered or eligibility to obtain full GMC registration
- Significant post-qualification clinical experience in the NHS or a similar setting
- Significant understanding of ICH GCP, GMP and GLP
- Awareness of both Pharmacovigilance and Regulatory procedures
- Prior experience of working in clinical research and/or pharmacovigilance as a pharmaceutical physician
- Broad therapeutic background and exposure would be an advantage

**This role is a permanent part-time opportunity**

Remuneration:
The successful candidate will receive a pro-rata's base salary per annum as well as benefits including pension, life assurance, annual leave, healthcare insurance, discretionary bonus and flexible working.
