Senior Medical Advisor Job - Oncology

A leading global pharmaceutical organisation is looking to add to its medical affairs affiliate in the UK in recruiting a Senior Medical Advisor. Office based in the Thames Valley, you will work in a major product area and have excellent opportunities for progression in the future.

Role Description:

Reporting to an affiliate Medical Manager, you will work as a senior member of the therapeutic team. The main aspects of the role include, but are not limited to:

- Support colleagues across the business, primarily in marketing and sales, to provide up-to-date medical & scientific information and guidance.
- Work closely with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and external organisations relevant to the therapy area.
- Build strong relationships with commercial and Brand teams in order to effectively develop short and long-term brand strategy.
- Ensure compliance and the upholding of ethical standards in accordance with the ABPI Code of Practice.
- Also work regularly with departments such as Regulatory, Medical Information, and Health Outcomes.
- Liaise with external agencies such as the MHRA and PMCPA in regard to product complaints and issues.
- Mentor more junior members of the medical team within your therapeutic department.
- Actively work with members of the clinical research team, including inputting into protocol design and Investigator-supported studies.
- Input into European medical strategy meetings to ensure your affiliate is a key voice heard

Requirements of Candidate:

* Fully GMC registered
* Medically qualified from a recognised institution
* Significant post-qualification clinical experience in the NHS, or a similar clinical setting
* Experience in medical affairs as a Pharmaceutical Physician
* Ideally holds ABPI Final Signatory status, or is close to achieving this
* Experience in Oncology or Haematology, or an interest in these fields is an advantage
* Team-player
* Able to influence others - excellent communication skills
* Strong presentation skills
* Potential to lead
