A rare opportunity to join a global pharmaceutical business experiencing significant growth. Beyond their current globally marketed product they have a pipeline of three products at Phase IIII and a fourth at Phase I development stage.
This role offers flexibility on location and can be based locally in Sweden, Denmark or Netherlands. Home working is part of this role.

This highly innovative global specialist pharmaceutical company, focusing on acute & intensive care medicine, seeks to appoint a Medical Director as part of their Northern European team. This position combines a strong medical advisor element along with field based medical activities, with a significant focus on health science communication at the customer interface. This is a role with a business experiencing significant growth globally, the ideal candidate will be interested in getting involved with the business at all levels in this stage of growth.

Role overview:
- Reports to the Vice President, Northern Europe
- Responsible for the medical affairs and health science communications for marketed products and overall product pipeline
- Engaging with Key Opinion Leaders and key stakeholders for the business
- Educate and train the sales team with product data and developments in the therapy area
- Ensure full compliance for drug safety matters providing medical input to pharmacovigilance in the UK
- Support clinical research activities. Communicate appropriate sites for future phase IIIB/IV programs and provide support at active sites.
- Medical expert providing resource to the Business Development, Clinical Affairs and Management Committee

Candidate Profile:
- Senior industry experience in Medical Affairs in pharmaceutical medicine
- Exposure to numerous product launches and strategic medico-marketing is a must
- Experience of working in European markets (must have one of Sweden, Netherlands or Denmark)
- Experience in cardiovascular medicine is desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of major aspects of operational drug safety
- A solid sense of combining business and science
- Excellent networking and team working skills

Salary and Benefits:
The base salary for this role is flexible for the right candidate. The package will include car allowance, stock options, bonus, pension and healthcare insurance.
