Salary Bracket £60,000 - £75,000

Based in Berkshire this role presents an opportunity to join an advanced and leading pharmaceutical business. Working globally in over 150 countries this business has an established and impressive product portfolio of Virology drugs.

The role:
An exciting opportunity for a medic specialising in the area of virology. As an integral member of the medical team, you will support all medical & scientific in the Virology business unit in a cross-functional capacity involving elements of both medical affairs and clinical development. The role's primary responsibilities include:

- Lead on the development of relationships with investigators and key opinion leaders (KOLs)
- Provide support to clinical development teams in relation to Phase I - III studies
- Providing product education and training to commercial colleagues
- Represent the UK medical function at a strategic level alongside the Medical Manager, when required, at a European level
- Medical input into health technology applications including NICE and SMC

Candidate Profile:
- Fully GMC registered
- Medically qualified
- Strong understanding of the field of Virology including Hepatitis C or HIV
- Medical Affairs experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a major preference, however a medic working in a clinical setting with an expertise in oncology can be considered
- Excellent commercial acumen
- Proactive
- Ability to manage numerous project at once

Salary and Package
The successful candidate will receive an competitive basic annual salary as well as company car allowance, bonus, pension, life assurance, health insurance and more.
