Associate Director Job - Clinical Research

My client is seeking an experienced pharmaceutical physician to join their growing Global R&D team in a highly visible role, based at their Global Head-quarters in the Thames Valley.

Role:
The job holder will provide medical support to assigned projects and support all assigned personnel for projects in relation to the clinical development activities for projects across the company's entire drug portfolio range. Reporting to the Therapy Area Leader, you core job responsibilities will be:

* Leadership and direction of all clinical strategy for assigned projects
* Assist in the design and delivery of clinical trial protocols for research projects from Phase I to III
* To co-ordinate, create and manage Clinical Development Plans (CDPs) according to agreed strategic directions
* To establish links with relevant Opinion Leaders and clinical centres with therapeutic relevance to assigned clinical trials
* Support Global PV in the assessment of Adverse and Serious Adverse Event reporting
* To manage final editing and sign-off of final study reports and other relevant study documentation

Candidate Requirements:
* GMC registered
* Significant post-qualification clinical experience in the NHS or a hospital setting
* Experience of clinical trials work as an investigator
* Strong pharmaceutical industry experience in drug development, either in a pharma, biotech, or CRO environment
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Must be goal-orientated
* First-rate organisational skills
