Bayer HealthCare, part of the wider Bayer conglomerate, are looking to recruit a Medical Advisor to become a key part of the UK medical team. With a significant portfolio and pipeline of products in the areas of General Medicine, Women’s Health and Speciality Medicine, the UK medical team is well established and acts as an excellent platform for progression within the global business. Bayer seeks to pro-actively develop their pharmaceutical physicians and there would be unrivalled support for post-graduate training and re-validation in pharmaceutical medicine. The successful candidate would be joining an excellent company and would work as part of a successful and collaborative medical affairs team.

The role is part of the Medical Advisory function, working specifically with Bayer’s Specialty Medicine Business Unit. Working with the UK Medical Director, you will act in a highly visible capacity to provide directorship on all medical and scientific issues. The successful candidate will provide medical input into commercial activities and will ensure that objectives are achieved for the therapeutic area. The role requires strong communication, partnership and teamwork skills as well as the ability to develop and maintain on-going relationships with opinion leaders and other stake holders.

The successful candidate will be a GMC registered physician with a strong background in Haematology, preferably holding a higher medical professional qualification. Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills are required for this role as is the desire to work as part of a cross-functional business team. Experience in an industry setting is ideal but not essential. The ideal candidate would be appointed as Senior Medical Advisor.
