Clinical Development Director - Oncology

A senior position working internationally on the strategic clinical development of products aimed at the treatment breast and lung cancers. You will be working for a leading pharmaceutical organisation well known for their extensive global product portfolio in Oncology and Haematology.

The Role;

Reporting to the Group Clinical Development Director and office-based in the UK, you will interact globally across the business and act as a senior medic within the Oncology clinical development team. The core duties of the business include;

- Responsibility for delivering plans that deliver medically differentiated therapies, providing meaningful improvement to patients
- Participation in shaping the progress of clinical development across specific global oncology products moving forward
- Having responsibility for the development and successful execution of the clinical development plan for assigned molecules and indications
- Interact at a truly strategic level with colleague across the business as an expert within the Oncology unit

Location;
Home Counties, UK

Candidate Requirements;

- Medically qualified
- Fully GMC registered with a license to practice
- Significant experience on Oncology / Haematology ideally both clinically and in pharmaceutical medicine
- A strong understanding of Phase II - III clinical trials and the drug development process
- Experience of a global clinical development role in the pharmaceutical industry is a distinct advantage
- Leadership experience in a matrix managed environment
- In-depth knowledge of ICH (International Conference on Harmonisation of Technical Requirements) and GCP (Good Clinical Practice)
