Senior Medical Advisor Job - Virology

Our client, a well-known pharmaceutical business with products in multiple therapy areas, is looking to recruit a Senior Medical Advisor to work as part of their UK affiliate medical team.

ROLE DETAIL

Responsible for providing medical & scientific expertise on specific products, you will be a key member of the medical team reporting to the Medical Manager. Your main duties will include:

- Work with medico-marketing on all related products
- Contribute to the design and approval of promotional materials
- Liaise and develop relationships with Key Opinion Leaders
- Participate in the development of Phase IV clinical study programmes, as well as interact with Principal Investigators
- Provide educational training to sales staff on all related products
- Provide medical perspective to the development of UK medico-marketing strategy
- Interact with key internal functions such as Health Economics, Clinical Research, Regulatory Affairs and Medical Information teams where relevant
- Lead advisory boards for related marketed products

LOCATION: Thames Valley

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

- Full GMC Registration
- Post-qualification clinical experience in the NHS, or a similar setting
- Medical affairs experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Working knowledge of the ABPI Code of Practice (Final Signatory status not essential)
- Excellent communication skills
- An interest or clinical background in Virology and/or Anti-infectives
- Good problem-solving skills
- Eligibility for Higher Medical Training
