Do you want to work for a global biotechnology company that prides itself on having the sole goal of extending and bettering the lives of rare disease patients? We are supporting this business as they reach a stage of rapid growth and are in the market for a newly created Director Clinical Development PKU. This biotechnology company has a vast pipeline across a range of rare diseases at all stages of development.

The organization is committed to focusing on drastically increasing the number of studies that they own. This Medical Director will work on several programs in PKU, a birth defect that causes an amino acid called phenylalanine to build up in the body. This will involve being given the chance to lead on early and late phase studies.

Through this role you will be involved in the design, development and execution of clinical trials. This is the perfect opportunity for a career driven physician with a background in Gene Therapy / Rare Disease Clinical Development.

Responsibilities:

Stay up to date on the conduct of clinical trails by reviewing all protocols and other documents as required.

Prepares meetings and agendas for investigators. Also building monthly reports on the progress of the study.

Work with CSRs by simplifying clinical data for them that they will need to be able to make their publications as required.

Manages and maintains the agenda for the clinical study.

Work with vendors, investigators and partners helping the company maintain and build these relationships.

Attend meeting both within your team as well as cross functionally.

Follow all legislations and rules imposed on the company.

Use your expertise in the non-clinical and commercial functions.

Qualifications:

MD Degree

Minimum 2 years clinical trial experience

Experience in Neurology, Rare Disease, Genetics or Pediatrics

Background in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry preferred

Early and late-stage clinical development expertise

Leadership qualities and potential

Excellent written and communication skills

The successful candidate will receive an excellent basic salary with a benefits package and stocks
