CPL Physicians is working with a world class oncology research business with a packed program of submissions and launches and require a Director of Medical Affairs to lead an operations team.
You will provide critical project management support in late US medical affairs projects over the entire life of the program. The position is in a team-orientated environment that is empowered to drive programs. Medical Operations oversees the strategic development of program timelines and budgets as well as proactively resolves potential deviations, assists in resolving critical issues, and communicates status to upper management.
Key job duties include:
1. Work with stakeholders to facilitate development of strategic and aligned medical affairs plans and review status of project plans. Monitor the key milestones within the plans and proactively develop contingency plans to support stakeholders. Assess risk and identify issues, conflicts or gaps across products.
2. Lead medical operations project management related to clinical trials and other medical affairs activities involving alliances, and clinical trial collaboration per agreement. Work closely with Study Directors and cross-functional study teams to ensure studies are proceeding in accordance with plans.
3. Lead cross- functional project teams to create medical affairs project plans. Create detailed and well-designed project plans customized for each project that clearly establish roles and responsibilities for stakeholders. Continuously evaluate tools that drive project milestones with transparent targets.
Ideally an advanced or terminal degree in life science
Demonstrable experience of medical affairs and clinical affairs leadership
Oncology background preferred but not essential
