An attractive opportunity has arisen at a blossoming global healthcare company with substantial financial backing, a fantastic business model that is rapidly expanding across the globe as well as a wide network of oncology practices. The business currently employs over 900 people and works with over 15 of the top therapeutic oncology companies who are dedicated overcoming the technological challenges within oncological care in order to accelerate cancer research and improve the quality of care for cancer patients.
The company in question are seeking to hire a new Medical Director of Machine Learning to support a new product launch and develop the data science team. This role will support the Vice President Clinical Development in leading Data Driven Research projects for Oncology and will translate Real World Data into insights that can benefit cancer patients.
The ideal candidate will be a Physician expert in Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence with a background ideally in Clinical Trials. This is a unique opportunity to develop your career in a pioneering space.
Responsibilities will include:
Working knowledge and experience of data science/AI practices and processes including building industry relevant data sets, machine learning, predictive analysis, exploratory data analysis, text mining, virtual agents, image recognition, IOT related analytics etc.
Deep understanding and experience of AI tools and techniques
Work with cross functional teams to provide real-world data insights that benefit cancer patients
Provide Clinical Research leadership combining the use of technology and medicine
Lead data-driven research projects collaborating with both internal and external partners across academia, pharmaceuticals, and the government
Represent the organisation at conferences both as a speaker and networking
Provide Oncology specific training to co-workers and external stakeholders
Scientific Input into cross-functional projects that leverage real world data in Oncology studies
Analyse and interpret data model development
US Licensed Physician with a background in Clinical Trials
Oncology experience is preferred but not essential
Prior expertise in Machine Learning or AI practices
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate scientific data to the wider business
Background in Research Methodology /Data Analytics would be a bonus but not essential
