Executive Director Medical Affairs, Rare Disease Neurology Launch

Location: US, Fully Remote

Package: Market leading basic salary, 27.5% bonus, stock options, long term incentives & more

We are supporting a leading biotechnology company in rare disease and neurology development as they continue to expand their already healthy pipeline. This organization are at a pivotal stage of growth and with one product already on the market, need an Executive Medical Director to support the VP & CMO with the development and execution of medical strategy for their next planned launch.

With the program at phase III, you will lead the company through their launch phase with a high level of cross functional visibility in the business. This drug has the potential to be the first of its kind on the market and will make a significant positive impact on patients lives. You will likely take responsibility of other indications as the role progresses and needs a physician with a background in Rare Disease and Medical Affairs leadership.

Responsibilities:

Support with prelaunch activities as the organization gears up to bring the product to market

Establish a medical plan for the field based medical affairs team, identifying strategic KOLs

Contribute to discussions with cross functional team members including the clinical development group

Leading in the Rare Disease space, you will be a key point of contact in the business for medical queries

Publication review and approval as well as attending advisory boards and presentations

Management of RWE generation plans with a high level of responsibility to input into the wider business including commercial and regulatory

Requirements:

MD with a background in Rare Disease

Minimum 6 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry

High degree of scientific knowledge in Medical Affairs & Rare Disease

Leadership expertise with success in developing and retaining staff

Launch experience at US & Global level

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to effectively present ideas

Remuneration:

The successful candidate will receive an executive level basic salary with a benefits package to include the likes of a bonus scheme, stock options, long term incentives, medical benefits and more
