This global clinical stage biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the development of first-in-class cellular immunotherapies for patients with cancer are going through a stage of long-term growth and are seeking a Vice President Clinical Development to lead their Solid Tumor portfolio and more specifically Lung Cancer studies.

The organization is leading the way in genetic engineering with a pipeline consisting of Solid Tumors, Hematologic Malignancies, Immunotherapies and more.

An extension of the executive senior leadership team, the Vice President Clinical Development will join the business at a rapid time of growth and will have access to a large number of resources. Working closely with the executive leadership team the individual will immediately be responsible for setting out a strategy for immediate growth of the team. The company has 2 ongoing clinical trials in Lung Cancer and are the two largest trials that the company has.

You will be responsible for leading on the non-small cell lung cancer programs and will build a disease area specific team. Identifying patient populations for Phase I trials through to late-stage trials you will work on multiple products and combinations while receiving support from the wider cross functional teams. This is an opportunity to build an organization around your needs from the ground up.

Responsibilities:

Lead the cellular immune-oncology programs in solid tumors with a focus on early and late-stage development strategy in lung cancer

Work closely with the Chief Medical Officer and leadership team to define a long-term strategy for growth

Responsible for implementing and develop clinical strategies while also leading internal and external teams

Responsible for building and establishing a high performing clinical development team

Serve as Global Project Leader on multiple lung cancer products

Responsible for setting the strategy and clinical development plan, aligning the R&D team

Collaborate cross functionally with the wider business, using additional resources where needed

Requirements:

MD, Board Certified or Eligible in the field of Medical Oncology with a background in Lung Cancer

Extensive early and late phase clinical development experience

10+ years experience in the pharmaceutical industry leading on multiple oncology studies

Cross functional leadership experience with a track record in building highly successful teams

Global network of KOLs in Lung Cancer

Experience in developing Immune oncology studies with a preference for developing cell-based therapies

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Remuneration:
